To be part of the our valley's own 'Coachellafest' for locals, your band must meet two requirements:

  1. The leader of the band, as well as the majority of the band, must live in the Coachella Valley during the summer.
  2. The leader of the band, as well as the rest of the band must play a 45 minute set for FREE.
All proceeds will go the the Indio Performing Arts Center's children's education outreach programs.  This event is for the locals who have nothing to do on September 6th, but would love a day and night long rock-fest that is affordable, air-conditioned, and fun.
Day passes will be issued at $20 per pass.  There will be only 800 passes sold in total.  If this is a 'sell-out', the IPAC will make $16,000 at the door.  Add to that revenue from food and beverage sales, retail concert-ware sales, and cash donations, the IPAC could receive well over $20,000 to fund the terrific NEW arts complex and it's programs for our community.
'Rock the IPAC' will be produced by Rick Jones, of the Indio Performing Arts Center, and myself.  The day-long concert is not only for the residents of our valley who have to suffer through the &^%$#!! heat with little entertainment options, not only for the IPAC and the kid's programs, but it's for us; the musicians who go out and play at the restaurants and bars and weddings and 'jams' all summer long.  Lugging a bunch of crap in 120 degree heat, to play for a dozen people who don't really care.  Time for a change... time for a 'musician's party'!  And I mean a BIG one!
We deserve our own rock-fest, not one brought in by outsiders.  If you're interested in helping out, or know of any one that might be able to help us, give me a call. at 285-7720  Or call Rick Jones at the IPAC, 775-5200.
